Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)

Dr. Parisa Ricciardelli is the only TPI Medical 2 Certified

professional in the Niagara region!

What is TPI?

TPI is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.

Using data gathered from studying thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.

TPI’s mission is to educate golfers and industry professionals on the Body-Swing Connection™ through its one of a kind ‘TPI Certified’ educational program.

Five unique fields of study are offered for TPI Certification: Golf, Medical, Fitness, Power and Junior Development.

How can TPI help me?

Golf is a demanding sport. It requires balance, co-ordination, power, strength, focus and patience.

When trying to improve their game, plenty of golfers seek the advice of a golf professional to make swing adjustments and to correct faulty patterns, however, those patterns may be created from the bodies physical inability to get into the position required to have a consistent and efficient swing. This can be due to poor posture, tight muscles, poor spine mobility, etc.

By focusing on the body-swing connection, we can find the root cause of faulty movement patterns during your golf swing that may cause you to slice, pull, hit the ball fat or thin, top the ball, etc. and fix them.

What does a TPI appointment include?

A TPI appointment includes a golf specific screen that takes you through a range of exercises and movements to assess the capability and quality of those movement.

The findings from the assessment is then discussed and analyzed with the patient. From the information gathered, a patient specific exercise program and treatment plan is created!

It is best to wear athletic clothing during these appointments.

“Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) does not believe in one way to swing a club, rather in an infinite number of swing styles. But, we do believe there is one efficient way for every player to swing and it is based on what the player can physically do.”
